hold up
Illustrative example: a product page for a sample Shopify store, with a matching beanie added to the cart. The basket grows from $189 to $218 and shipping becomes free, then an express checkout order lands as paid.
Shopify
Your online store needs a conversion engine
Simply listing products isn't enough to compete in the modern e-commerce market. Many stores suffer from slow checkouts, confusing navigation, and themes that kill conversions.
We treat your store as a sales machine. As your Shopify partner, we use the platform properly to implement strategic upsells, optimise checkout flows, and integrate reliable sales channel management, so your store is built for continuous, scalable revenue. A store that does not rank does not get found. We build SEO into your theme, collections and product pages from day one, so your products can rank on Google as well as they convert.

The leaks
Where Shopify stores lose revenue
- Product descriptions copied from the supplier, so hundreds of stores carry identical text and none rank for it
- Collection pages that are a heading and a product grid, with nothing for Google to read or a shopper to learn from
- Filter and sort URLs generating thousands of near-duplicate pages that eat crawl budget
- Apps installed and forgotten, each adding scripts that slow every page
- Missing or broken product schema, so price and stock never appear in search results
Every one is invisible from the dashboard. Sales look fine until you notice they only happen while the ad account is switched on.
What we do
Clean up first, then convert
- Technical clean-up first. Faceted navigation, duplicate variants, redirect chains and app bloat, because everything else compounds on top of it.
- Collection pages treated as landing pages. They target the higher volume searches and lift every product beneath them.
- Product schema and Merchant Centre feed. Implemented properly and validated, so Shopping and AI search can read the catalogue.
- Conversion work. Speed, checkout friction and product page clarity, because more traffic to a leaking store is expensive.
Pair this with Shopping and feed management and ecommerce SEO.
How we build
Our e-commerce conversion pipeline
Build, optimise and launch a store that turns visitors into recurring customers
Strategy & buying path mapping
We map your ideal customer's path to purchase step by step, finding high-margin sales, strategic upsells and less checkout friction to maximise your Average Order Value (AOV).
Launch readiness & channel setup
We test site speed and checkout performance before launch, then set up key sales channels, including Google Shopping and Meta, so your product feeds stay in sync for paid advertising.
E-commerce SEO foundation
A technical audit focused on product schema markup and correct canonical tags to remove duplicate content, plus clean URLs and fast load times, so your store can be found in search.
Google sales channel integration
We set up and fully optimise your Google Merchant Centre account and manage the product feed for accuracy, enabling Google Shopping campaigns and clean sales tracking from search to store.
Custom theme development
Unique, high-performance themes that stand out from generic templates. Clean, mobile-responsive, speed-optimised code that loads instantly and feels premium on every device.
App & feature integration
The essential apps and features for growth, without "app bloat": payment gateways, inventory systems, review platforms and automated marketing flows.

What it costs
What a build costs
A professional custom marketing site for a Melbourne small to mid-size business typically lands in the $3,000 to $7,000 range. Our builds start from $9,000 and care and maintenance from $399 per month, all +GST.
The lowest quote is rarely the lowest cost. It is usually missing content writing, SEO groundwork, redirects from the old site, or tracking setup.
Our guide to what web design costs in Melbourne breaks the numbers down, and our guide to Shopify SEO for Australian stores covers the checklist.

Shopify if you want the platform to handle hosting, security and payments so you can focus on selling. WooCommerce if you need deep customisation or already run WordPress and want one system. Both rank fine. Shopify costs more in fees and less in maintenance time.
Most do, and the effect accumulates. Every app injects scripts that load on pages that do not need them. We audit what is installed, remove what is unused, and replace anything doing a job the theme could handle. It is usually the quickest speed win available.
A custom Shopify build typically starts higher than a marketing site because of catalogue setup and the payment and shipping configuration, plus integrations with your existing systems. Ours start from $9,000 depending on scope +GST. Shopify's own subscription and transaction fees are separate.
Common causes are supplier-duplicated descriptions that offer nothing unique, missing product schema so Google cannot read price or availability, products excluded by a stray noindex, or a Merchant Centre feed with disapprovals. The audit checks all four, and it is usually more than one.
Yes, with known limits. Shopify handles the basics well and is hard to break, but it forces a fixed URL structure and can generate duplicate pages through collections and filters. Those are manageable once you know about them. What decides your rankings is collection page content, product descriptions and schema, not the platform.
